Chakrapani Ananda

Chakrapani Ananda is an actor of Indian origin who works mostly in the Telugu film industry. Chakrapani was born in Gaddamvari Yadavalli village of Kanagal mandal in Nalgonda district of Telangana State, but his family later migrated to Kondrapole village in Dameracherla mandal near Miryalaguda. During his school days, Chakrapani worked in a printing press to support himself. Prior to entering the film industry, he worked in advertising agencies as a visualizer and copywriter. Chakrapani made his film debut in 1988 with B. Narsing Rao's Daasi, but it failed to give him a breakthrough. In 2013, he directed the documentary Waiting for Death, which explores the impact of fluorosis on people living in his hometown of Nalgonda.

After 25 years, Chakrapani was cast as Chintakindi Mallesham's father in the film Mallesham, which helped him to receive further film offers.
