Dr. Sailesh Kolanu

Dr. Sailesh Kolanu is a well-known Indian actor, director, and writer predominantly working in the Telugu Film Industry. Born and raised in Chennai, his family moved to Hyderabad after the film industry shifted, as his dad worked under director Kodi Ramakrishna Rama Krishna more familiarly known as Kode Rama Kr >> Read More... as a production manager. Dr. Sailesh completed his graduation from Hyderabad and pursued Ph.D. in Optometry and Vision Science from UNSW, Sydney, in 2016. Before moving to Sydney, he worked for L.V. Prasad Eye Institute and started teaching optics to undergraduate students at the same university post his Ph.D. Dr. Sailesh married Swathi Vemula, a vision therapist who encouraged him to pursue a career in the film industry. In 2018, he worked on his first short drama, Checklist, as an actor, director, and writer.
