Akella Rajkumar

Rajkumar Akella is a well-known producer from Hyderabad, Telangana, India. With a career spanning several years, he has established himself as a prominent figure in the Tollywood entertainment industry. Rajkumar's contributions to Telugu language cinema is widely recognized, and his production, "Arjun Suravaram," has been a hit with audiences. In addition to his work in the film industry, Rajkumar is also actively involved in the fight against piracy. As the managing director and chairman of the Anti Video Piracy Cell (AVPC) at the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce, he has led several successful enforcement operations to curb online piracy. He is known for his efforts to promote awareness about the impact of piracy on the entertainment industry and its stakeholders.

Rajkumar's dedication to the cause of anti-piracy led him to develop a multilingual anti-piracy mobile application called iMovieCop in 2013. The app has been widely adopted by users and has helped in curbing piracy to a great extent. In recognition of his contributions to the fight against piracy, Rajkumar was awarded the MPA Asia-Pacific Copyright Educator Award at the Cine Asia Awards Ceremony held on December 8th, 2022 in Hong Kong. This award is a testament to Rajkumar's commitment to the cause of anti-piracy and his efforts to protect the interests of the entertainment industry. Recently, Rajkumar partnered with the Telangana government to develop the Telangana Intellectual Property Crime Unit (TIPCU), which was launched by K.T. Rama Rao in June 2022. TIPCU aims to provide a comprehensive solution to intellectual property crime in the state and will be a valuable asset in the fight against piracy.
