Madhu Sravanthi Garikipati comes from a music-loving family in Hyderabad. She began her musical journey at the age of 4. Sri G.V. Prabhakar, Madhu’s father, who is a well-known Carnatic and Light music singer, ignited Madhu's passion for Indian Carnatic Music and Light Music. Her musical interests however went beyond these genres, which included film, folk, western, pop, and Carnatic classical-style music. At the age of 11, Madhu learned music composition and production.

She also experimented a lot with different genres of music like orchestral, pop, folk and new age. Her flexibility in music led her to become the Music director and Composer for the film "Valliddari Madhya," directed by VN Aditya. Her commitment to the promotion of Indian classical music is seen in her roles as the artist coordinator for SPICMACAY at the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, and the cultural music director at S.S. Music Academy in Hyderabad. In more of her roles, she led the cultural committee and organized and planned many concerts.

Beyond these roles, she hosted the radio show "Beyond Borders “ on WTJU (91.1FM). Her involvement also includes being a production assistant for the show "Tell Us a Tale'' with Peter Jones. From an early age, Madhu remained an impressive talent in music competitions. From the age of 6, she won many state-wide and nationwide competitions in India, including the ones organized by the South Indian Cultural Association (SICA) and All India Radio. Her awards include the "Centennial Music Record'' given by the Wonder Book of World Records.

Madhu's achievements also include her participation and victories in many Indian television music contests, showing her talent on platforms such as the Utah Asian Festival, WTJU 91.1 FM, and ETV Padutha Theeyaga. She also led the largest choir singing event in May 2009 in Hyderabad, which was recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records. She won two big music competitions called ' Gaana Gandharvam story soon >> Read More... ' and 'Voice of GNI' which added to her achievements. Madhu Sravanthi's dedication has gotten her recognition as the best singer in programs like 'Ragam Sangeetham' conducted by the Vissa Channel and the special program 'Desha Bhakthi Geethalu' by HMTV channel.
