Sruthi Nanduri is a Telugu-American doctor, from New Jersey, United States, who participated in Telugu Idol 2 (2023). She comes from a family with a rich musical journey of singing ‘Enki’ songs, a musical style characterized by songs that are frequently about travel, first love, relationships, and tragedies while also evoking the cultural heritage of villages. These songs by her family became popular among Telugu listeners in the 70s and 80s. Nanduri was always interested in music, however, when both her passions, music, and medical practice aligned, she felt like she found her purpose.
