Before coming into films she did her B.A.P.G Diploma in Computer Languages and Applications, and P.G Diploma in Journalism. In 1992, when she first appeared on Doordharshan as a news reader, she never thought that she would become such a huge star, when all she ever wanted to do was to write interesting news for the viewers.

In simple language, Rajashree is a multi-talented actor, with 15 years of experience as an artist, a TV producer and a script writer. Along with this, she also worked for 3 years on Doordharshan as a news reporter and news capsules researcher. She did anchoring for many educational programs and has been an all-rounder.The audience loves seeing her on TV.Instead of getting married at fifteen years of age, she never stopped herself from achieving her dreams, as she continued her studies and completed her degree from an open university to fulfill her dream as news presenter.

In the 1990’s she tried her luck as a script writer and sent a script to FDC and got selected among two-hundred other scripts and produced the script as a telefilm. She also won a Nandi awardforBest Producer. Along with that her telefilm has also won two more Nandi awards for the Best Director and Best Song.Initially started as a hobby, her acting has become her profession and she has been in this industry for more than twenty years. Rajashree is one of the adept and senior most artists in Tollywood. Besides working as an actor, she also does society empowerment programs and provide important and useful news to the viewers. Her roles in the movies have always shared powerful meaning and were always feministic in nature.
