Nazim Panipat is a well-known and very famous lyricist, film scriptwriter, and poet who predominantly worked in the Pakistani and Indian film industries. He was born in 1920 in Lahore, British India. Nazim is the brother of a famous filmmaker, producer, and director Mohammad Walli popularly known as Walli Sahib. Nazim has written above two hundred songs for Hindi, Urdu, and Punjabi movies. He composed music for a film in 1940 named Yamla Jat, the debut movie of Bollywood superstar Pran Krishan Sikand. Nazim Panipat migrated to Pakistan in 1953 and started working as a playback singer. His first movie in Pakistan was Guddi Gudda in 1956, directed and produced by Walli Sahib, his brother. Some of the topmost Hindi, Punjabi, and Pakistani movies for which Nazim has worked as a lyricist is Dulla Bhatti in 1940, Khazanchi in 1941, Khandan in 1942, Mangti (Punjabi Movie) in 1942, Naukar in 1943, Shirin Farhad in 1945, Doli in 1947, Roomal in 1949, Zamane Ki Hawa in 1952, Lakht - e- Jigar in 1956, and many more.

The most notable songs by Nazim Prajapati are Aai Hai Diiwaalii Sakhi Aai Re from Seesh Mahal in 1950, Dilli Ki Galiyon Mein from Doli in 1947, Suno Suno Kaise Kah Doon Bajariyaa Ke Beech from Ladli in 1949, Wo Akhiyan Mila Kar Chale Gaye from Roomal in 1949, etc. Nazim Panipati took his last breath on 18 June 1988 in Lahore, Pakistan.
