Hassan Jahangir

Hassan Jahangir is a Pakistani pop singer born on 1 July 1962 (age 61) in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. He gained popularity in the 1980s with his hit singles such as “Hawa Hawa,” “Hato Bacho,” and “Shadi Na Karna Yaron.” The 1980s was a remarkable era for Hassan as he released his first single, “Imran Khan Is a Superman,” in 1982 and released his only Internationally famous album, “Hawa Hawa,” in June 1987.

The album sold around 15 million copies in India alone and his music was celebrated and praised in South Asia, mainly in Pakistan and India. Hassan made his come back into Pakistani music in 2011 with a fresh twist to a Bengali song Dol Dol Doloni.
