10 Reasons Why We Need Smarter Films Now

10 Reasons Why We Need Smarter Films Now Hindi Article

1. Cannot Defend Anymore

The times when Hindi cinema had to focus on love stories and had to pile up an enormous amount of them are now gone. Often, the fact that the major portion in the Hindi cinema had only love stories based films is because of the fact that it was often defended by saying, ”Love being such a complex emotion, needs to be revisited again.” In a time where the relationships change within seconds, is there any need of the same old loyalty based love story?

2. Think Of Patterns And Structure

The Indian audience often takes a while to accept the Non-Linear Narrative features wherein people often end up with confused thoughts. You need to make them used to the various patterns and structures for the narratives so different emotions can be explored further. Audiences are now demanding the flavor from the west, and now the real test lies on whether the director can deliver it or not.

3. Treat The Audience Intelligently

You can trick the surface all the time with the same old trick while making no sense at all. But now it’s time not to take audiences lightly anymore. Often one needs to feel the pride that someone treats him /her intelligent enough. Indulging audiences into intellectual stories often engages their mind, making them become a part of the journey which in turn doubles up the entertainment and the wow factor.

4. There's More Than Just Entertainment

Director Alejandro G. Iñárritu once said, "If you succeed and risk in almost all, you probably can get a little bit of the beautifulness in transporting people to another level of conscience, emotions and you reveal something about life in a different way." Cinema is all about expressions and all expressions that are meant to impress. Hence, it is all about taking a step forward other than entertainment where many other options can make it roll.

5. Cinema Is Huge

Not only emotions need to roll in, but also the thought process of coming up with something new every time counts in. If someone can take your mind and embark it on a journey where you've never seen anything as such which is new and mind-blowing, then maybe they've invented a part that was yet to discover. It is the larger than life canvas that can almost help you to evoke anything. And one name which always comes to mind is that of Christopher Nolan Christopher Nolanwears mutliple hats. 6. Smart Isn’t Always Social

Often films which are targeting the social implications of the society and trying to generate awareness with just references to recently concluded events isn’t a smart enough move for the directors. As often the dramaturgical elements which need to be created, tried with extremities create a small impact as compared to the ones which are made now when decades have passed after any social implications on the society and the solutions are already out there to refine it and make those voices aloud. This move can be counted as a smart move, but the former does not yield many chances of success.

7. Being Judgmental Isn't Enough

Various concepts exist, with often endings that turn towards a single point of concern that might have satisfied the director, but in reality, many interpretations exist too. Many films with open interpretations don't find a better audience and fall stuck within some chunks. Being judgmental isn't Cinema when expressions can be far from borders.

8. Educate

If you can learn while you lie down in a room with a good cooling system and a comfortable chair with some gags, it can be the best thing someone could gift you. While films can educate people with snippets of learning’s within films rather than before the film starts. If a film makes such a contribution towards education, it can surely be a major difference in value addition and will win lots of accolades.

9. Match The Mindsets

Practical and diplomatic statements have turned to be a part of the major chunk which the chunk believers often prefer over emotional content. Not everyone's going to be crying when the hero dies. The reach, if turned wider can be of greater value and can win the critics acclaim.

10. Universal Acceptance

Smart films need not be the ones with time travel and getting theories right. Smart can be something that has a correct approach in the eye of the audience and can put into reel what it is aiming at. Or at least, something new and innovative in perspective, that could incite and attract people to look through. If subjects carried forward are of more with human nature and life and rest surrounding it, it can appeal to the guy in LA along with me in Mumbai.
