Married shortly after, her husband tries everything to bring back the emotion of love in her, which eventually pays off as Revathy finally gives herself a second chance. It takes some time to move on but she does fall for her husband. A romantic story well portrayed on the silver screen. The movie brought together one of the cutest couples of Kollywood and their romantic sequences in between them definitely got admiration from the love-sick audience.

Kadhalukku Mariyadhi is the remake of a Malayalam film Aniathipravu, starring Shalini and Vijay in lead roles. The plot revolves around the controversial subject of religion and caste that often poses a hindrance in love story. The movie has beautifully showcased the love for the family and their personal love story and how it becomes difficult for them to give up on their blood ties to live together. But, as always, love triumphs in the end as the families accept the love, putting behind differences of their religion. The movie received positive critical appreciation at the box office.
