Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, the film directed by
Karan Johar
was scheduled for Diwali. Karan Johar had cast
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan
,
Ranbir Kapoor
,
Anushka Sharma
and Fawad Khan in the lead roles.
Shah Rukh Khan
will appear in a cameo role. As the film has Fawad Khan, the Pakistan actor, the film had been suggested for a ban by some political people. Following the Uri attack, many people in India are against Pakistan and Maharashtra Navnirman Sena asked the Pakistan artists to get away from India. So, the film has been receiving threats and so, the multiplexes hesitate to screen the film. After a couple of weeks of silence, Karan Johar opened about the issue. He says that people might have thought that he might be anti-national, as he maintained silence. But the filmmaker says that nothing is important for him than his nation. Although he respects the artists in all the nations, he is very patriotic when it comes to India. But, he says that it is not fair to ban the film, as it is the hard work of 300 people in his crew. The filmmaker also says that he will never work with Pakistan artists hereafter.
