. The movie happens to be one among the top entries into the Kerala State Film Awards 2016. The movie Pinneyum did not impress the State Award Jury, and it failed to win any awards. In an interview given recently, the members of the jury revealed why the movie was ignored in the State Awards 2016.
The jury made a remark that Pinneyum, although being an Adoor Gopalakrishnan movie, failed to make an impression in any way. Also, the jury members have made a denial that they considered Kavya Madhavan for the best actress award. Also, the jury said that the actress had failed to make an entry in the final list of competitors. Reports are that the movie Pinneyum was not even considered for any of the categories. Jury members said that although being a work by Adoor Gopalakrishnan, who is known to be a master Craftsman, the movie failed to make any impact.
