As the BJP Government didn’t take any steps to set up the Cauvery Management Board to distribute the Cauvery water to Karnataka and Tamilnadu at right proportions, the ADMK MP Muthukaruppan, resigned his MP Post, today. He sends his resignation letter to
Venkaiah Naidu. He stated in his resignation that as the Central Government didn’t form the Cauvery Management Board, he resigns his job in a high depression. Nearly 19 districts are affected due to the Cauvery water issue. Muthukaruppan stated that although there are some political problems, it is not right to deny the drinking water to the people. He had also stated that though he had two years term in Parliament, he resigns his post only for the people. Muthukaruppan read out his resignation letter to the press and media and also assured that he wouldn’t get back from his decision regarding resignation.
