,” who died at Cauvery Hospital on August 7th, 2018. Karunanidhi died due to multiple organ failure and all the political leaders and film celebrities shared their condolences to the Karunanidhi family and the DMK people. Amitabh Bachchan spoke about Karunanidhi on his Twitter page. Amitabh Bachchan said that he received his first national award for the film Saat Hindustani from Karunanidhi as the awards ceremony was hosted in Chennai in that year when Karunanidhi was the chief minister. This is what Amitabh tweeted, “T 2893 - பிரார்த்தனை மற்றும் இரங்கல், for the Honourable and dynamic leader Shri Karunanidhi .. I received my very 1st National Award for 'Saat Hindustani' from him, when the ceremony was held in Chennai that year .. he was the CM ..”
