After entering into the politics, Vijayakanth had been away from the film industry. For the past few years, he is a bit unwell and has been getting treatment in the US. However, Vijayakanth had never failed to post videos on special occasions.
On the eve of the Republic Day, Vijayakanth posted a video on his Twitter and wished everyone for the Republic Day and said that Tamilnadu should be a corruption-free state following law and order and it should be the leading state in the nation.
