In a development, the metropolitan official Ganesan ordered that the banners and cutouts beremovied. As per the instructions, in Anna Salai, Puducherry, the banners were removed. Fans, upon knowledge of the development, gathered in the place. They indulged in argument with officials. They raised a question as to why the banners of politicians are not removed and only actors are targeted. The Vijay fans said that they would take up a protest. At the same time, there was a traffic snarl in the area. Following that, the officials ditched their efforts and left the place.
