Dr. N. Ramani, the flute virtuoso, left the eternal world and attained peace, today the 9th October 2015. He is 82 years. He was not in a good health for the past few years. Around 1:45 Pm, he fainted at his house and his family people rushed him to the hospital. After an hour, he was declared dead. His death occurred due to heart attack, says his disciple Gokul. Ramani was also suffering from throat cancer for few years. Ramani was the disciple of the popular flutist T. R. Mahalingam. This Carnatic legend is the one, who introduced the trendy flute, which is longer than the regular ones. His cremation will be done tomorrow afternoon and the funeral procession will start from his house at Mylapore. He survived with his wife and four children; two daughters and two sons. Let his soul Rest In Peace!
