There have been recent developments in the cine field. Vishal is one among the noted actors in the Tamil cine field. The income tax raid was held recently in Vishal’s office. The income tax officials have explained why the raid has been conducted. The officials have said that there is no connection between Mersal issues and the raid on Vishal’s office. The recent movie Mersal starring Vijay was released and it triggered huge controversy. The BJP party protested to the scenes in the movie saying that dialogues occur in the movie which are against the ruling party. Vishal, who is the General Secretary of the South Indian Artistes association and the head of the producer council, has opined in favor of the movie. In a recent development, raid by the income tax officials was held in Vishal Film Factory situated in Vadapalani.
There was accusation that the move happens to be political vendetta. The income tax officials spoke on regard of the issue. The necessary formalities regarding the income tax are being carried out in Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry. So far, we have taken up more than 400 investigations. During the practice, we undertook a raid on the Producer Council office. The officials have not paid the due tax. On basis of the information the investigation was held. Such raids have been held in previous instances also. The producer council should pay the due amount as the income tax. Thus, they should conduct themselves such that action is not initiated against them.
