has just broken the record of the England player and now she tops the chart. Mithali Raj, aged 35 is the captain of the Indian Women’s Team. Mithali overtakes the record held by the former England captain Charlotte Edwards, who played 191 matches. With today’s match, Mithali holds the record of most capped Women Cricketer in the world. She had been playing in the Indian Cricket team from the age of 17. She is the only Indian captain (in both men and women) to take the Indian team to World Cup final twice. Yes, Indian women team entered the World Cup final in 2005 and 2017. Mithali’s father Dorai Raj is an officer in Indian Air Force. Started her cricket at the age of ten, this bold lady continues it in her 35. She is the first cricketer to have seven consecutive fifties. Congrats Dear Mithali, for holding the new world record!
