The Supreme Court has put an interim stay on the audiences to take the snacks bought outside, to the theaters. Earlier, the Mumbai High Court ordered that the public could take the snacks to the theaters. As the theater owners appealed further to the Supreme Court, the top court put an interim stay to the High Court’s verdict. Yesterday, we heard that the theaters in Tamilnadu were raided and a lot of theaters will be penalized for charging high on the snacks sold in theaters. The stay order by the court might be happy news for the theater owners, but definitely not for the public.
