, the actor cum politician commented that Godse is the first Indian terrorist, who belongs to Hinduism. His comments earned a lot of aversion and people started commented that if Kamal had told that Godse is the first terrorist, none would have questioned him. The problem is the word Hindu added to the terrorist. But Kamal Haasan said that what he stated is right and came with an explanation on his Twitter. But his explanations didn’t satisfy the majority of the public and they opposed his statements.
Many complaints were filed against the actor. He didn’t stop there but stated that if he is arrested it will lead to a huge consequence and also stated that it is an advice and not a warning. Following the huge opposition, the actor-politician applied for an anticipatory bail in Madras High Court’s Madurai bench. Today, he was granted the anticipatory bail.
