, the actor cum leader of Makkal Needhi Maiam, the political party, has started his protest against the Sterlite Factory in Tuticorin. Following the series of protests that will bear good fruit for the people including the Cauvery protest, Kamal’s next target is the Sterlite issue. He tweeted, “This anti -sterlite peoples agitation needs media support. My new status as a party leader need not be a disqualification or a deterent. I am still part of the Tamizh population. I am committed to this cause. ஊடகங்களும் தமிழக மக்களும் இந்த ஸ்டெர்லைட் புரட்சியில் பங்கு பெறுவது கடமை. தூத்துக்குடி மக்களுடன் நானும் உள்ளேன். புரட்சிக் களம் அழைத்தால் நான் வருவேன்.” The Sterlite revolution has been going on for decades, but it hadn’t yet reached the solution.
