Anitha, who just completed her class XII had been waiting for the results and she got 1176 out of 1200. If there is no NEET exam, Anitha could have been selected to pursue her MBBS course. Anitha, belongs to the scheduled caste and she has the cutoff of 196.75 for medicine and qualifies for the MBBS course. But she hadn’t secured the required mark in NEET. As the government announced that the medical seats should be filled only through NEET, the poor girl, whose dream to become a doctor, shattered. She hanged herself to death in disappointment.
