In May 2016, Madhan wrote a suicide note and absconded. After several months of a serious hunt, the cops found him hiding in a bungalow in Tirupur. Madhan’s mom Thangam arranged for a press meet, today. Thangam addressed the media that she has not come there to prove the innocence of her son. She said that what Madhan had done is a blunder. Madhan’s duty is to collect donation to SRM institution and the Vice President of the institution Pachchamuthu encouraged him to do so, said Thangam. So, Pachchamuthu is the first accused in this, stated Thangam. She also stated that Madhan had been exploited for the betterment of Pachchamuthu and family. As it was said that Madhan was hiding in Tirupur with a lady, his advocate Dinesh insisted that Madhan has no illicit connection with any women.
