Sudeep is a superstar in Kannada and has a mass following in Sandalwood. He plays the villain in Puli, which has Vijay as hero. Vijay also has a big fan following in Bangalore and there was a lot of celebration with fan frenzy, banners and cutouts, as is normal for a big movie.
But it was interesting to note that at Nataraj theatre, there were huge cutouts for both Vijay and Sudeep. And this time, the cutout for villain Sudeep was bigger than that for hero Vijay and even had more garlands from his fans. Obviously, this villain is more popular than the hero in Bangalore!
