Sivakumar is one among the veteran actors of the Tamil cine field. He has done many positive roles in movies. Thus, he has retained the image of a good person in the movies. In his career, Bhuvana Oru Kelvikkuri was a movie in which he did a negative role. Then Sivakumar did the role of a villain in Raman Parasuraman. Also, he did a double role in the movie. As of now, most of the actors have done the role of a don in movies. Sivakumar did the role of a don in Vandi Chakkaram.
Since Sivakumar is good-looking, there was prevalent doubt as to whether the role of Don would suit Sivakumar. But Vinu Chakravarthy asserted that the role would suit Sivakumar. It is to be noted that he did the screenplay, dialogues, and story for the movie. In the same way, he selected Vijayalakshmi who was to do a lead role in the next movie. She did the role of a liquor shop worker in the movie.
