stated that Superstar Rajini is the right person to play in his film, King Lear. The film is based on the novels by Shakespeare. Vishal says that he had been working on the script from 2014. The primary role would suit Rajini and this role should be done by the experienced artists like him, stated Vishal. “If I direct the film, I will first approach Rajini to play the central role,” says Vishal. Vishal Bhardwaj also stated that it is not only the experience in the film industry but the person should be a versatile one to play such roles and hence he feels Rajini would be the right choice.
