Saravana Bhavan owner Rajagopal had been accused of killing Prince Santhakumar, husband of Jeeva Jothi. The case was filed in 2001. After 18 years, the Supreme Court pronounced its verdict. The Top court ordered that Rajagopal should surrender before the court before 7th July 2019. The court confirmed his connection in the murder of Santhakumar and pronounced the life term jail.
Jeeva Jothi’s father worked in Saravana Bhavan. Santhakumar was a tuition teacher and Jeeva Jothi fell in love with him. As her father didn’t accept their love, Jeeva Jothi left her family and married Santhakumar. Rajagopal had plans to marry Jeeva Jothi, as per the suggestion of his astrologer. But, as she married Santhakumar, he killed him with the help of the henchmen. Although the verdict proved the existence of justice, it is a long-delayed one.
