Tamilnadu Government Employees’ Association released a Press statement today stating that the government has been deceiving them for long. They said that the retired employees were not given the pension and the PF. The employees’ association has also stated that the government should raise the salary once in three years. But from 2016 they had not increased the salary. The Union had a meeting with MR Vijayabaskar, the Minister of Transportation in March 2017. The second round meeting was held on May 4th, 2017 and the talks ended in failure. So, the Union announced an indefinite strike from 15th May 2017. Their main complaint is that the retired employees were not provided the retirement benefits for the past six months and hence they are suffering a lot. The Association also requests the chief minister of the state “
Edappadi K Palaniswami
” to interfere in this issue and solve it. Will the CM do it and solve the issue soon?
