Above and Beyond Movie Review

“Above and beyond” is a movie, which compels you to question yourself, it recounts a tale of strong headed American pilots, who decide to help the people living in Israel, in 1948 war subjected to their Independence. This is a documentary film made by Roberta Grossman, produced by Nancy Spielberg. This movie experienced 30 Theatrical releases.

Plot: This is an Interesting but an unpopular tale of the American pilots, who took a step forward to assist Israel in their war of Independence. All this started taking place in 1948, three-years, right after the Nazi camps, in which a number of people had died. Putting their lives on a stake, they smuggled a number of planes which were literally made out of scrap, from The United States of America.

This film has shown a bit of Goliath and David situation, as well. It follows a rough chronological tale starting with each person’s personal reason for indulging in this. These strong men are human beings too, just some craving for adventure and the aspiration to do something out of the box, is what their goal is. The background is based on the history.

Analysis: Roberta Grossman, the director of this film, has done the word play so well. The men in the movie are sitting in plane hangars, the aerial movements are exactly on point, and the admiring narratives bring all of it to a collective life. A lot of pilots have been interviewed for this film so that the story can be showcased in a very real way, the whole purpose of this movie is to give everybody the real flavor of struggle. At some point in the movie, you can feel that the reality and the script are clashings, as they’ve tried to mix them.

The Cinematography & the whole concept can give anybody real Goosebumps, as it is extremely beautiful to watch the same. A stated fact about this movie is that the real climax is missing in the movie; the end seems to be abrupt.
