Plot

Jude is a violinist. She rehearses for an award from a prestigious music program. Her instructor, Professor Murphy, pushes her to reach perfection in her performance. Professor Murphy stresses very much about her performance. Jude takes Emily Foster as her inspiration. Jude tries to match her performance with Emily Foster’s performance. Emily Foster was a former student who died after falling off a building the previous year. It is still suspicious whether she really fell from the building or whether she was pushed from the building. Jude is very much stressed out. People around her feel sympathy towards her but never really understand the pressure she is under and her mental health. Emily Foster dies shortly after receiving the award from the prestigious music program for which Jude is currently aiming. As the death is very suspicious, she feels very tense about the program and her performance. In her leisure time, Jude hangouts with her roommates, Sarah and Veronica, and their next-door neighbors, Steve and Dave. Dave seems to be interested in her. Jude has a boyfriend, and she always talks to him through Facetime. She rarely hangouts with her boyfriend as they always prefer Facetime. One day, Jude’s boyfriend comes to surprise her, and she witnesses him cheating on her with one of her roommates. She breaks up with her boyfriend. Her life becomes even more complicated when she discovers that someone is following her and stalking her from her bedroom window. She becomes even more stressed and tense after finding out that someone is stalking her. After the breakup, she starts talking to Dave, and becomes close friends. Jude and Dave go on a date, and Steve interrupts in the middle of the date, saying that Dave is not as we know him in reality. Steve warns Jude to stay away from him. Dave and Steve start arguing with each other. After some time, Dave leaves. Steve and Jude also leave after an argument between them. Jude thinks about it and feels suspicious about Dave. She checks Dave’s room, and she finds evidence that Dave is the one who is stalking her. She goes to Steve to tell him all this about Dave, but she finds him dead. She suspects him of the death of Emily Foster. She feels that she is the next target of Dave. The movie is about whether Jude can save herself from Dave and get the award from the prestigious music program.

Star Performance

Katherine Hughes is a talented actor. The character she plays acquires excellent mental strength and acting skills. She was involved in the character and acted very well, as the audience felt it was real. The movie is produced by the producer of A Nightmare on Elm Street. Even though it is not an award-winning show, it keeps the audience hooked with its exciting and thrilling plot.

Analysis

The movie is about the struggles we face on the way to achieving our ambition. Jude’s ambition is to win the award from the prestigious music program. To achieve that, she faces a complicated life, and she gets stressed out.
