Plot
Many blacks are made captives and one among the captives is the author and sociologist, Veronica Henley. She had penned the book titled, Shedding the Coping Persona, which deals with gender inequality and racism. Now, she senses the danger and plans for a quick escape. Did her plans succeed? What happened to Veronica? The answers form the rest of the story.
Star Performance
Janelle Monae did an excellent job. The multi-talented star proved her excellence in acting and impressed the audience. Jack Huston played a negative role and he did justice to the given character.
Analysis
The horror thriller entertainer has an impressive script. There are some interesting twists in the story to impress the audience. The director has neatly combined the social issues with this genre and has given a perfect output with interesting elements. The suspense elements from the past to give a complete message-oriented entertainer. The stars are perfect in their roles, especially the leading lady, Janelle Monae. The BGM, cinematography and production values are good.
