Plot

The Astronaut Lucy Cola is surprised with her first mission in outer space. After she completes the mission, her ordinary life does not feel normal to her. Lucy is told to take a rest after mission completion. But she wants to go for her next mission. In her training session, she meets s a younger female astronaut called Erin. Lucy is not happy with her husband. She now considers him boring, which leads her to spend more time with other astronauts. This meeting had caused an affair with Mark. Lucy wants to break the record of Erin for the underwater test. Lucy finds out that Mark is having an affair to Erin. Lucy finds it hard to accept it. What is going to happen with Lucy? Will she be able to have a everyday life? The rest of the story deals with it.

Star Performance

Natalie Portman, as Lucy Cola, did an incredible performance in the film. Her journey of having a paranoid experience and it is affecting her was brilliant. Her detailing of the character was outstanding. She did a fantastic performance in the movie. Jon Hamm, as Mark Goodwin, shows the nature of a young and passionate astronaut. He was the charming person everyone who loved to have as a lover. His acting was factual and natural. One would understand Zazie Beetz after watching this movie. She that much impact she made in the whole film. Her appearance as Erin Eccles was good. Dan Stevens, as Drew Cola, did a remarkable performance in the movie. All the other actors were as good as the main lead actors.

Analysis

The storyline of the film was great, dense, and exciting. The film focus on the central theme of the life of an astronaut after her mission. The film is inspired by the NASA astronaut Lisa Nowak. The storyline in the movie was exciting and engaging. The script can be improved. The script was not well structured, which made it confusing for the audience. The film depicts the theme of density, claustrophobia, and alienation very well. The direction and cinetomagraphy were fine in the movie. The psychological drama nature of the film is maintained from the start till the end. The concept and theme have freshness in the movie. The dramatic journey of Natalie Portman, as Lucy Cola, was demonstrated in the movie. The background music and songs play a significant role in the movie. The dialogues were okay in the film.
