2. Kevin Spacey

Kevin Spacey is a film writer, producer and director. He is also an actor and a comedian. He was born as Kevin Spacey Fowler on July 26, 1959 at South Orange, New Jersey to Kathleen Ann and Thomas Geoffrey Fowler. He came from the lineage of Swedish, English and Welsh. He studied at the Northridge Military Academy, Canoga Park High School and attended Chatsworth High School in L.A where he graduated as a valedictorian. He was also featured in Chatsworth’ The Sound of Music and played the role of Captain Georg von Trapp. Initially, he tried his luck as a comedian before he went to Juilliard School in New York. From there, he studied drama and during this time, he was also a stand-up comedian in the bowling alley talent competition.


His first official stage performance was from the history play, Henry VI, Part 1; followed by his debut in the Broadway in the play, Ghost by Henrik Ibsen. Then he also performed in The Misanthrope, or the Cantankerous Lover. Kevin did numerous stage performances and has made a name in the theater world.


He was first appeared on television through the television drama, Crime Story where he essayed the role of Kennedy-esque, a senator. His passion later turned to doing films but Kevin continued his involvement in the theater world. In year 1991, he played as Louie in Neil Simon’s Lost in Yonkers and his performance earned him the Best Performance by a Featured Actor in a Play at the Tony Award. 

Kevin’s early roles came from the legal drama series, L.A. Law on NBC, where he played as a millionaire, and the miniseries, The Murder of Mary Phagan where he essayed the role of West Brent and the 1989 comedy film, See No Evil, Hear No Evil, where he played as Kirgo. Kevin played as Mel Profitt in the crime drama series, Wiseguy. Shortly after, he developed his name as a character actor and later cast in bigger roles such as the black comedy film, The Ref in 1994. He played the main lead role as Buddy Ackerman, a powerful movie tycoon in the comedy-drama film, Swimming With Sharks. In 1992, he joined the cast of the drama film, Glengarry Glen Ross and bagged the role of John Williamson, a nasty office manager. The film gained him positive responses from the critics. In 1995, Kevin played the role of Roger ‘Verbal’ Kint, a con artist who suffers from cerebral palsy in the crime thriller film, The Usual Suspects where he won the Best Supporting Actor in the Academy Awards. In the same year, the actor appeared in another thriller film, Seven where he plays as John Doe, a serial killer. The films Seven, Outbreak and The Usual Suspects gained him the Best Supporting Actor at the Society of Texas Film Critics Awards in 1995.


He also played as a self-centered district lawyer in the 1996 film, A Time to Kill and later, he started the Trigger Street Productions with an aim to produce and develop entertainment in different media sectors. He was also debuted as a director in the film, Albino Alligator. The film failed to make it a success in the box-office but he received praises for his direction. He voiced Hopper’s character, the head of the nasty group of grasshoppers in the animated film, A Bug’s Life by Pixar’s.


Kevin receive a worldwide praise and the Best Actor award at the Academy Awards for his role as Lester Burnham, an employee who is captivated with the best friend of his teenage daughter in the drama film, American Beauty in 1999. He also made his Hollywood’s Walk of Fame in the same year. In the play, The Iceman Cometh, Kevin received the Best Actor award at the Laurence Olivier Award in 1999. He is also the co-host of the Unite for the Future Gala along with Judi Dench. The show is a fundraiser for the 9/11 victims of UK.


In year 2000, Kevin bagged the role of Eugene Simonet, a professor of social studies in the drama film, Pay It Forward. He also played as a mental patient who could be an alien in the mystery film, K-Pax. In 2004, he essayed the role of Bobby Darin, a member of the most popular band in the biographical film, Beyond the Sea. This film is a dream come true for Kevin Stacey who is the co-writer, director, co-producer and starrer of the film. He also hosted the popular Saturday Night Live in year 1997 and 2006. He also played the character of Lex Luthor in Superman Returns in 2006. He also made an appearance as Detective Levon Wallace in the thriller film, Edison in 2005 and got its direct-to-video release in year 2006. In 2008, he did a wonderful job as a MIT lecturer who is an expert in using mathematical probability to win in the casino game, blackjack. He went to china in the early 2010 to play as Chuck in the Chinese film, Inseparable under the direction of Dayyan Eng.


Kevin was known to the Hollywood industry for his unique impressions. The first time he appeared in the television show, Inside the Actors Studio, he impersonate James Stewart, Clint Eastwood, Al Pacino, Marlon Brando, Katharine Hepburn and John Gielgud. In 2011, he played as Frank Underwood in the political drama series, House of Cards where he received many nominations at the Primetime Emmy Award, Critics Choice Television Award and more.

3. Zachary Quinto

Zachary “John” Quinto, or ZQ to his friends and family, is an American actor and film producer. He was born in Pennsylvania to Irish-American office worker Margaret J McArdle and Italian-American barber Joseph John Quinto. Quinto took to acting like a moth to an open flame, and in 1995, at the tender age of 18, won the Pittsburgh Gene Kelly Award for Best Supporting Actor for giving an outstanding performance as the Major General in Gilbert and Sullivan’s “The Pirates of Penzance”. Quinto’s first break on television came when he bagged the role of computer expert Adam Kaufman in the iconic Fox TV series 24, when it was running in its third season. Quinto then went on to play the role of Sylar in the hit series Heroes which first aired on 2006, till its cancellation in 2010. Quinto’s performance as Sylar in Heroes inspired his fans to call themselves Sylar’s Army. As he fondly recalls, “The interesting thing about my character Sylar is that my strengths as an actor seemed to go completely against the shape of a character in the shadows.

He also starred with Helena Bonham Carter as the story of love and complications in the movie “The Heart of Me.” He also played the character of the sick Dr. Stephen Maturin with Russell Crowe in the movie “Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World.” He showed a great depiction of a zoologist with passion for animals.
