Plot

Nobody starts in an interrogation room, where the audience is introduced to Hutch, a wounded man saying that he is simply a ‘nobody’, a mediocre family man.  He is just a normal man, who has a complicated relationship with his wife and struggles to raise his two children. But something inside him changes when he is unable to defend his family during an attempted house robbery. People around him start perceiving him as weak and look down upon him. 

Amongst this chaos, when Hutch gets a chance to showcase his courage, he leaves no stone unturned.  In an attempt to save a young girl from being abused, Hutch beats up a man brutally. What he doesn’t realize is that the man he attacked was a member of the Russian Mafia. Before he knows it, Hutch is on the list of one of the most dangerous men ever known. The movie follows his struggle as he tries to defend his kin and himself.

Star Performances

Nobody is an action thriller revolving around the life of Hutch Mansell portrayed by Bob Odenkirk. Bob’s portrayal of Hutch was accurate, and phenomenal acting was observed on his part. Hutch was an average man who had ended up in the worst of situations. His role was complex to deliver, and Bob Odenkirk was just the man for this challenge.

Analysis

Nobody can easily be confused for a basic action thriller movie, but it is so much more than that. This film was an absolute hit for the audience, and several factors contributed to it. The makers had made sheer efforts to make this movie a success, and it shows. The casting choice was very accurate, and the roles seemed to be tailor-made for them. 

Many thrillers falter when it comes to physically violent scenes, but not this one. The action scenes were realistic but not too gruesome to upset the viewers. Also, the storyline was crafted beautifully and executed to perfection. It didn’t leave many loopholes or questions unanswered as the movie progressed toward the climax scene. All in all, as the audience left the theatres, they were in awe of this masterpiece.

Verdict

Nobody was an anticipated hit and it delivered up to the expectations of the viewers. This film attempted to change the course of industry and it did succeed in it. Many factors like casting choice and exceptional storyline made this movie a marvelous one. This film is highly recommended and can be watched at least once.
