Resident Evil: Afterlife movie is the fourth installment of the 'Resident Evil' series, and is based on the Capcom game series. This movie is directed and written by Paul W.S. Anderson.Â
PLOT:Â
Milla Jovovich

and Shawn Roberts escape from their headquarters, that was destroyed by Milla's clones. They end up in a duel in which Milla survives. The movie further proceeds with her efforts towards the rescue of her team members from the zombies.
ANALYSIS:Â
This movie was hugely expected by game fanatics. Unfortunately, this movie does not possess any good one- liners. Most of the scenes lacks logic, especially the scene where Clair knows that the place is a trap, but still she proceeds to it. The caliber of the 3D technology is tremendous. It makes the film unique from the other movies that used 3D. The thumping effect caused by the score, especially during the action scenes, are vibrant. But most of the songs make a mere presence. The audio effects used for highlighting the extras is tremendous.Â
STAR PERFORMANCES:Â
Milla with her drop-dead looks is comfortable with the weapons and handles them with a class. Though Ali Larter's presence does not make any sense, she is an eye candy for the audience. Same goes with Wentworth Miller. Since the role played by him is also a part of the video game, his presence is justified.Â
WHAT'S THERE?
One should watch this movie at least for the visual effects. It is totally stunning from the start to the end. The credit scene in which the cast name comes splashing on the screen is too cool.Â
WHAT'S NOT THERE?
This movie may look confusing for the newcomers as the director did not care to provide the background of Alice.Â

VERDICT:
Yet another installation, that gives a firm reason for the existence of the series.
