The opening of the movie The Oogieloves in the Big Balloon Adventure wasn’t a very intriguing one, even for a children’s movie. The movie had a badly written plot, the songs were silly, and it seems meaningless and stupid too. The Oogieloves in the Big Balloon Adventure can easily be termed as an example of bad children’s fiction writing.
Plot: The movie lacked any educational quality that is a must in any children’s movie; it didn’t have any lesson or morals to pass on to the young generation. The movie was even silly and way too childish for a five-year-old kid. Not only that, the movie even comprised of many things that prove to be unhealthy for our auditory and visual senses. Another off-putting thing about the movie was the name of the characters - Goobie, Zoozie, Toofie, and Bobby Wobbly. The characters lacked round personality, and some of the roles were just plain embarrassing. The plot of the movie was extremely predictable and lacked in its qualities to keep a viewer intrigued and interested.
The movie had some of the works jokes, involving some sort of gross and dances and musicals were simply lame. The jokes were flatulent, and the musicals and dance sequences lacked that catchy quality about them. When compared to other children’s movies like Dora the Explorer, Shrek, Cars, Toy Story, Brave, Wreck-It Ralph, and even the Disney fairytale movies, this movie The Oogieloves in the Big Balloon Adventure lacked originality and was like a poorer written version of these films. There was nothing new to see in the movie. To put simply, The Oogieloves in the Big Balloon Adventure was a major disappointment and a worse addition to the list of children’s movies.
Verdict:Â It gave nothing of value to the kids and was an appalling movie in short.
