Plot

At the film’s start, Sushant Dubey tells his receptionist Naina to change his single bedroom to a double bedroom in Mauritius. He booked his room as Mr. and Mrs. Dubey. The movie explains that Sushant is married to Aparna, and they even have a daughter called Titli. A man is creeping and peeping at them. The following day, the couple's daughter Titli is missing. Their first suspect was the man who was peeping at them. Aparna is stressed, while Sushant is carefree. This behavior of Sushant seems suspicious. Here comes the plot twist, Sushant is not the father of Titli, and Aparna is not his wife. Sushant is an unhappy married man, while Aparna is a divorcee. Sushant realized Aparna was lonely, so he brought her to his resort. The film showcased the missing case of Titli. Will they be able to find Titli? Who is the actual father of Titli? The rest of the film speaks about it.

Star Performance

Tabu, as the leading actress, is one of the best decisions made by the casting team. Her character as Aparna is thrilling, convincing, and unique. She is the one who made the character alive. She is also the one who made the whole movie horror. Manoj Bajpayee, his existence in the movie creates suspense. His flirty nature and carelessness made the movie suspenseful. Unlike other films by Manoj Bajpayee, this film is entirely different. Annu Kapoor, a Police Investigator, made the film satirical. His detailing about the missing case is incredible. The role of Kali Prasad Mukherjee and V. M. Badola was minor but played a significant impact. All the other actors were good.

Analysis

The storyline is fantastic. The film was very confusing at first. There was a plot twist every single time, which made the film deliberately lengthy. Only the first and the last twist was shocking; the remaining seemed to be deliberately created. The characterization was good. The background music was very suspenseful and horrifying. The film had only one song called So Ja Re, a lullaby sung by Aparna to her daughter. The film lack songs. There should be more songs. Most horror movies have excellent pieces, but this movie does not have them. The film shows mental health issues in horror. The climax and twist were good.

Verdict

The trailer was confusing and not convincing at all, but the movie seemed to be simple. There were so many unnecessary plots. The film has excellent storyline, which no other Bollywood writer can ever create. The film makes a new look for Manoj Bajpayee and Tabu. The film proves that without supernatural elements, a horror movie can be created. Fans of psychological, thriller, horror, or suspense will like this film.
