CAST & CREW
The movie is about a variety of people including a cop, a band manager and some rookies who end up fighting for one single thing and that is some diamonds. What results is a massive amount of confusion and problem which everyone has to deal with.
Anees Bazmee has directed several hit comic films which include Welcome and Singh Is King. This movie was made by him in the same hope that the same formula of a multi starrer movie along with several confused events would make the same impact as before. However, that didn't happen with this film. There was confusion along with lots of problems and haywire events which made the whole movie excessively perplexing.
Anil Kapoor tries too hard and in that process he is loud for the most part. Kangana and Sushmita seem to be only showpieces without much work for them to do. The little that they act is also artificial. Akshaye Khanna is funny at times, but the only one who has worked well in such a bizarre script is Paresh Rawal, who doesn't need much support from other actors because his timing is impeccable.
What you may like:
●The movie is a multi starter. There are a lot of well-known faces in the film which makes it entertaining.
● The film claims to be a comic one and gives laughter in bits and pieces in certain moments here and there.
What you may dislike:
● The comic factor in the movie is often forceful and seems to be very artificial. It looks like everything is scripted to look unnatural and acted out for which the actors work too hard to be funny.
● This idea of comedy is too worn out and doesn't evoke as much laughter as other films by Anees have been doing.
● Everything is offending, and some puns pertain to racism too which is totally unacceptable.
There is no second guessing about the fact that this movie can be skipped definitely.
