Plot

Sathyajith is an ACP, and he is into the investigation of a murder. They find a bag with a skull in it by the riverside. As per the forensic report, the murder happened a year ago. It also reported that it is a female’s skull, who was between 20 to 30 years. Later, it was found that the victim was Eva Maria from a wealthy family. While investigating, the cops are informed that Eva was married to a north Indian guy and was away from home. In 2019, her father met her and tried to reunite with her, but her stepmother did not show any interest. Meanwhile, Eva’s spirit tries to contact Medha. Who is Medha? What is her link with Eva? Who killed Eva? The rest of the story deals with it.

Star Performance

Prithviraj played his role stunningly well. His style and body language are fantastic. Aditi played the role of a single mother, and she is perfect in her role. The rest of the cast had done what is needed.

Analysis

The director has tried to tell a different story from a different perception. A supernatural thriller laced with a criminal investigation is not a usual genre. The team has put a good effort into making the movie an interesting one. Speaking about cinematography, we could say that it is a brilliant work from Jomon and Gireesh. The shots are fantastic, and they make us feel as if we are traveling with the story. BGM is quite decent.

Verdict

Cold Case is a neat thriller with necessary thrilling elements. Except for a few scenes, the director had pulled the audience and made them glued to the seats. This is a film that would have released on the silver screen for a better experience. Cold Case – watchable for sure!
