Ee Ma Yau is a drama movie scripted by PF Mathews and directed by Lijo Jose Pellisserry. Rajesh George Kulangara produced the film under the banner RGK Cinema. Prasanth Pillai composed the tunes and Shyju Khalid cranked the camera. Deepu Joseph edited the film and Central Pictures distributed it. The film has the star cast of “ Vinayakan,” Chemban Vinod Jose, Dileesh Pothan, Pauly Kannamaly, Bitto Davis, Arya, Krishna Padmakumar and Kainagiri Thangaraj.
Eeshi lives in Chellanam, a coastal village. Eeshi’s father Vavachan Mesthiri is a vagabond. After several months, he visits his son. While they were speaking casually, Eeshi promises his dad that he will make his funeral, grandeur. After his promise, Vavachan passes away. How did the poor Eeshi manage to make his father’s final procession grandeur is the rest of the story.
Chemban Vinod impresses with his natural performance. Kainakary Thankaraj, a theater artist, has given a decent performance. Arya and Pauly Kannamaly have also played well. Dileesh plays a priest and his performance is satisfactory. Vinayakan’s performance is much impressive.
The director has come up with a script that reflects the human values, yet it is not strong. However, the artists have performed the roles interestingly. The film has brought in the different mentalities of the people. Kudos to the casting team for choosing the right set of artists!
What’s Not There?
Although the film doesn’t have a strong script, it reflects the mindset of various people and shows the reality. Ee Ma Yau is definitely a one time watch!
