Chithra is a worldwide known Indian soulful singer. Her original name is Krishnan Nair Shantakumari Chithra. Born in July 1963, Chithra has grown into a versatile singer who can sing all variants. Though she is a born Malayali, she sang in more than 13 languages so far, and the number is still going on. She is fondly known as Chinna Kuyil and Keralathinte Vanambadi, which translates into English as Little Nightingale and Nightingale of Kerala. This is due to her exceptionally melodious singing which has never known any boundaries. She made the excellent contribution to the Music industry in languages like Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Odia, Assamese, Hindi, Bengali, Sanskrit, Badaga, Tulu, Punjabi, and Urdu. She has a record of being able to record more than 25,000 songs and the number is still increasing. In addition to these recorded songs, she also participated in countless concerts.

The young Indian model and South Indian actress Gimi George, who is widely known as Miya George, is a gift and promise for the Malayalam film industry. She was born on Jan 28th, 1992 in the busiest city in our country, Mumbai. Later she moved back to her native Kerala. She completed her schooling from Sacred Heart’s girl’s high school and St Mary’s higher secondary school, Bharananganam in Kottayam district. She did her BA at Alphonsa College and from Master in St Thomas College in Pala. Born as the second daughter of George and Mini, Miya George entered the industry through Television commercials (soap ads) and modeling projects. Later she acted in the television serial ‘Alphonsaamma’ which is screened in Asianet channel and also in Kunjaali Marakkar.

Madhuri Braganza is an Indian Actress who appears mostly in Malayalam movies. She was born on the 18th of June 1990 to Mark Braganza and Amita Braganza in Bangalore. She has five brothers and is also called Mads or Maddy. Madhuri did her schooling at Sacred Heart Girls High School and graduated from Christ University in Bangalore and the University Of Northampton in the UK.

Unlike for many people who choose their career or seek their fortune in the cinema industry, Parvathy Nambiar had her opportunities behind the screens in Malayalam through Lal Jose. Sheela Abraham was born in the year 1987 in Bharanaganam, Kerala, India. She is a model and actress by profession. She mainly works for the Malayalam film industry. She started her career in modeling/acting in the year 2013. She had her debut in acting with the movie “Weeping Boy” in which she played the role of Dr. Rose under the direction of Felix Joseph. However she is more recognized for her negative role of Meera Mammon in the movie “She Taxi,” released in the year 2015. It was quite appreciated by the audience. After the success of that movie, she acted in the movie “Kanal” as the role of Revathy. It was a revenge thriller alongside Mohanlal and was produced by Abraham Mathew.

Known in the Malayalam movie industry for her comic timing and impeccable work ethic, Thesni Khan is one of the more prominent comedian and character actors’ within the movie scene. Born on the 5th April, 1970 to parents Alikhan and Rukhiya, Thesni studied at the famous Cochin Kalabhavan. She also studied and performed magic under her father’s tutelage on several stages. 

Thesni made her debut in the movie Daisy in 1988, as a supporting actress, following which she acted in famous movies including Vaishali, Moonnam Pakkam, then in Dasharatham, and In Harihar Nagar, Pappi Appacha, Tournament, Avatharam, Punyalan Agarbattis, Bhaiyya Bhaiyya. 

Her first movie Daisy, was a Malayalam musical-romance showing separation, and the longing between two lovers, set within a boarding school. The story was written and directed by the popular director Prathap K Pothan, and had the cast of Harish and Sonia, with Kamal Haasan as an extended guest appearance. She is also famous for her roles in Beautiful, an Anoop Menon written and V.K Prakash directed Malayalam drama musical where she played the role of Kanyaka. She is also famous for her role in the 2012 hit movie Trivandrum Lodge where she played the role of Kanyaka Menon. She was also nominated for the SIIMA Award for Best Actress in Supporting Role for the same role.

She has also acted in the following TV serials: from the popular Cinemala and Manasaputhri, Sundari Sundari to Akkare Ikkare, Abhinetri, Ente Alphonsamma, Velankanni Mathavu and Snehaseema. Her popularity has also seen her in the role of judge in popular reality shows including Comedy Stars, Five Minutes Fun Star & Jagapoga. She has also been invited to popular talk shows including Nammal Thammil, Sreekandan Nair Show etc.

Her talent won her the FRAME Award for Best Actor in Comic Role (Female) for her role in Cinemala.

Kannan Thamarakkulam is a popular Malayalam director, who hailed from Thamarakkulam in Kerala. Kannan is from a non-cinema family background, who strived hard to reach this place. Initially, Kannan aspired to be an actor. Later, he joined the cinema industry as an assistant director. He has worked as an assistant and associate in a lot of TV serials and movies. In his initial stages, he had worked with popular Malayalam directors including “I V Sasi,” Sajan, Mohan Kupleri and M. Naseer.

Suresh Elambal is a famous Indian film director. He works as an assistant or chief associate director in the Malayalam film industry. Suresh has completed his education from Kerela. He went to the Mannam Memorial Higher Secondary School (MMHS), Vilakkudi in Kerela for his schooling. He attended the Sree Narayana College, Punalur. 

Abraham Mathew is an Indian film producer, popular amongst the regional audience for his work in movies like Solo (2017), Kanal (2015), Puthan Panam (2017), Subharathri (2019). Mostly known for his predominant involvement in Mollywood movies, Malayali TV shows, short films, and plays, he has often been praised for the smoothness in his sequences and an eye for details. Based in South India, Abraham has been working in the film industry for more than ten years now. In 2013, Abraham made his first notable contribution on the silver screen with the Bollywood drama film Wedding Boy, directed by Felix Jose, starring Sheelu Abraham, Beena Antony, Anjana Appukuttan. Since then, Abraham has improved a lot as a filmmaker.

N.M. Badusha works in the Malayalam film industry as a producer, associate director, production manager, and actor. N.M. Badusha was born in the Indian state of Kerala, in the town of Aroor. He went to GHS Chandiroor for his education and graduated from Santa Cruz College. He is the father of two children, Sahir Badusha and Shifa Badusha. He is married to Manju Badusha.

Dinesh Pallath, who made his story writing debut in the 2009 Tamil action-drama "Armaname" directed by Sudesh Shankar, is active in the Indian screenwriter, story writer, dialogue writer of Malayalam and Tamil film industry. It is a director who did. Since his debut, Dinesh has appeared in films such as Villali Veeran (2014), Thinkal Muthal Velli Vare (2015), and Aadupuliyattam (2016). In 2018, Dinesh created the thriller Chanakyathanthram, directed by Kannan Thamarakkulam. Unni Mukundan, Shivada Nair, and Anoop Menon play essential roles in the cast. The 2019 release includes Pattabhiraman. He is the dialogue writer of To Let Ambadi Talkies (2014), story and screenplay writer of Sooraiyadal (2014), the story, screenplay, and dialogue writer of Villali Veeran (2014), Thinkal Muthal Velli Vare (2015), Aadupuliyattam (2016), Chanakyatanthram (2018), Pattabhiraman (2019), Kabani (2019), Padatha Painkili (2020), Maradu (2021), etc.

 

This singer got two national awards for his playback in his career. Once he got for a song “Nadha Roopini’ which was picturized on Mohan Lal for his film ‘His Highness Abdulla” (1990). In 1999, he got another national award for film ‘Vasanthiyum Lakshmiyum Pinne Njanum’ for the song "Chanthu Pottum". Malayalam star Mohan Lal is one of the most natural actors to have graced the screen. He is spontaneous, lively and expressive, and there was something very refreshing about his every role, hence when Sreekumar sang for him – this became on a deadly combination. This singer has shown equal mastery and musical aesthetics while handing classical songs in other films too. The versatile playback singer had a depth of his musical knowledge and had handled the toughest of the songs with consummate ease. Every song that he had rendered will speak more on musical sensibilities that had emotive musical expression too. This singer was born on 25 May, 1957 in Haripad, Kerala. His family had a tradition of classical music, and his brothers are too singers and music composer in the industry. Sahas Bala is an art director and production designer in the film industry. He is most known for his work in Malayalam movies. Along with the Malayalam film industry Sahas has worked in Tamil and Bollywood films as an Art Director. He has worked in Malayalam movies such as Weeping Boy (2013), Paisa Paisa (2013), Aadu Puliyaattam (2016), Kuttikalundu Sookshikkuka (2016), Achaayans (2017), Aakasha Mittayi (2017), Daivame Kaithozham K. Kumarakanam (2018), Maangalyam Thanthunanena (2018), Oru Nakshthramulla Aakaasham (2019), Sakalakala Shala (2019), Udumb (2021), Udal (2022), Varaal (2022), and he also worked in the Telugu movie Team 5, released in 2017. His recent upcoming works include Pink, Abel, and Indira, all of which will release in 2023.

Arun Manohar is a costume designer in Malayalam movies. His debut on the big screen was with the film ‘Alice: A True Story', directed by Anil Das, that released in 2014. In the same year, Biju’s Bhaskar Nari too gave him a break in his movie ‘@Andheri’. In both the movies, his job got special attention. As both the movies had characters of our society, his costume designs got special applause. Arun Manohar also became popular in Malayalam movies like ‘Kunjiramayanam’ and ‘Balyakalasakhi’. In the year 2016, he designed costumes for Murali Gopy and Anoop Menon who were in the lead roles in 'Pa Va' and for Mohanlal in the movie 'Pulimurugan' and in the year 2016, he had designed costumes for Mammootty in a film named 'PullikkaranStaraaa'.

Vazhoor Jose is a Public Relation Officer in the Indian film industry. He has extensively worked in the Malayalam movies. Vazhoor is very talented and focussed to his work. In a very less time, he became a big name for himself in the south and paved a great way ahead for his future. He gave his precious thirty years of his life to the film industry and worked upon more than five hundred films in his entire career. He always experimented with the different genre of the movies and tried to deliver the best output. He wrote an outstanding review of cinema and promoted them. He helped in the distribution of the movies with too the point reviews of the piece of art and made them famous worldwide. He came to be known as one of the best public relation officers of the professional realm of the cinematic world. Vazhoor hailed from the district of Kottayam from the southern part of the Country.

Born on December 10 1965, Jayaram’s main region of interest is the Malayalam film industry, though he had acted in some Tamil films too. Jayaram entered the Malayalam film industry with “Aparan” which was directed by Padma Rajan. They both worked together in two more films. Jayaram was known for his films Peruvannapurathe Visheshangal, Georgootty C/O Georgootty, Nagarangalil Chennu Raparkam and Thoovalsparsham. 

During the 90s his films with Rajasenan turned to be commercially successful. The family audiences embraced him with both arms. Jayaram has carved a niche for himself in films such as Ayalathe Adheham (1994), Aadyathe Kanmani (1995), Meleparambil Aanveedu, The Car and CID Unnikrishnan B.A B.Ed. 

Director Sathyan Anthikad’s Thooval Kottaram earned Jayaram accolades and he won an award from the Kerala State Film Award. Also, he has four Film Fare Awards to his credit. His performance in Tamil film “Thenali” didn’t go unnoticed; he was awarded with the Tamil Nadu State Film Award. Jayaram proved his mettle in Tamil films, including “Thenali”, Gokulam”, Murai Maaman”, “Priyanka” etc. “Thuppaki”, “Saroja”, “Aegan” “Pancha Thantiram” and “Uttama Villain” are some of the Tamil films in which he played supporting role. 

Jayaram’s Malayalam films used to seldom flop at the box office and he is renowned for acting in family dramas. But ironically all the films he did in 2012 were a disaster at the box office. Jayaram has also delivered hits for the films directed by Kamal. He shared screen space with happening actors Mammooty, Mohanlal and Suresh Gopi. 

Jayaram is wedded to actress Parvathy who quit films after marriage. They have two children Kalidasan and Malavika. Kalidasan was introduced in the Malayalam film “Kochu Kochu Santhoshangal” and the latter was awarded with the National Award. 

Apart from acting Jayaram is a good mimic too. He had also sung in films including “Kadhanayagan”, “Mayilattam”, “Salaam Kashmir” etc.

Abu Salim is an Indian actor who mainly acts in Malayalam movies. He hails from Kalpetta, Wayanad. He is famous for his villain roles and he has done a few character roles too. He is active in the film industry from the year 1978 to till date. Abu Salim has acted in more than 151 movies in various languages including Tamil, Hindi, Telugu and Kannada. He debuted with the movie “Rajan Paranja Kadha”. The movie was directed by Mani Swami and was released in the year 1978. Acting was his passion and still continues it but by profession he was a police officer. He retired from the police department and now is active in the film industry. He has also won the Mr. Calicut title (1981), Mr. South India (1983), Mr. Kerala (1982) and the Mr. India title twice.

V.K. Baiju is a well known Malayalam actor in the Malayalam industry. He has acted in several Malayalam serials and films and has got a good place in the industry. V.K. Baiju’s father is Vidyadhar Kurup, who was a social activist in a political party. His native is Malapuram in Kerala. During his young age, V.K. Baiju has done a lot of jobs before his entry to the cinema. He was a painter and also had run Auto rickshaws too. He has also worked as a salesman in a medical shop.

Biju Pappan is a Malayalam movie and serial actor. He was born in the year 1969, in Trivandrum district of Kerala. Biju’s parents are late Mr.Padmanaban (Ex-Mayor, Trivandrum) and Mrs.Kumari. Biju is married to Mrs.Shiba, and they have two sons, Kartik & Krishnan. Biju’s father was a great politician and drama artist. Biju completed his schooling and higher studies in Kerala. He was always interested in arts and was the secretary of various college clubs. Biju has many successful business ventures like a furniture showroom, interior design, wood exports, construction, finance, etc. Biju is a staunch believer and follower of the great saint, Sri Narayan Guru.

Biju has acted in several serials like Sthree Oru Santhwanam, Vaava, Vatsalyam, Taali, Kavya Anjali, etc. Vava and Taali were produced by Seven Arts International.

Biju kick started his big screen career with a small role in the movie Samooham, released in the year 1991. He continued to portray smaller villain roles until he got the opportunity to play the role of Ubaid in the action movie King and Commissioner. Devan is a famous actor and political activist from Kerala. He started his career with Malayalam movies and later moved on to Tamil and Telugu movies as well. He also exploited the popularity of mini screen by lending life to many mini screen characters as well. He has been an integral part of serials such as Kudumbini telecasted by Asianet; devotional hit serials include Swami Ayyappan and Sri Padmanabhan and so on. Devan is married to Suma, daughter of the famous Malayalam film director Ramu Karyat. They have a daughter Lakshmi. He was born at Trichur is 1952 as the son of Srinivasan and Vasanta. Devan has completed his higher studies in business management. He initially worked with the renowned director Hariharan and writer M.T Vasudevan Nair to produce a movie, Vellam. But unfortunately the movie turned out as a failure and Devan took up more acting assignments to clear the debts. Devan was once known as the handsome villain in the Malayalam movie industry. But in the serials, he got the opportunity to portray positive and important roles.

Devan started his career as a hero, but had to shift later to villain roles and character roles. This handsome actor was seen in pivotal roles in recent movies like Mr.Fraud, How old are you, Mannar Mathai Speaking, Immanuel, Simhasanam, etc. Devan also started a political party named Kerala People’s Party.

Dharmajan Bolgatty is a Malayalam actor, writer, television presenter and stand-up comedian. He was born in Mulavukad, Kochi in India to Madhavi and Kumaran. After finishing his primary education at Mulavukad High School, he attended St. Albert’s College in Ernakulam. He started his career as a mimicry artist, but became popular on Asianet’s Bluff Master, along with Ramesh Pisharody, who became his partner. The two had met while working as writers for Cinemala and when they realized that their tandem clicks, they have decided to put up their show. Later on, he has done over 30 films, and he is now part of Asianet’s Badai Bungalow. He turned film actor through the 2010 Malayalam film, Paappi Appacha, which stars Dileep, Innocent and Kavya Madhavan in the lead roles. He played as Dileep’s driver/side-kick in the film and the reason he owes everything to Dileep is that he was first introduced as an actor in this film. In 2011, he was seen in Thaha’s Pachuvum Kovalanum. Dharmajan has five releases in the year 2012, which include Ordinary, Naughty Professor, My Boss, Puthiya Theerangal and Chapters.

Dinesh Panicker is a very prominent figure in the Film and Television world as an actor and producer. Dinesh as an actor is known for his characters in teleserials like Chandanamazha, Harichandanam and Swapnam. He won the Minnale Film TV Award 2014, as the Best actor in the negative role for portraying his character in the teleserial Pattusari, telecasted on Mazhavil Manorama. He is a well-known producer of movies and serials as well. He owns a video library named “Channel 12, and he owns the Video Copyright business Rohit Videos, named after his eldest son Rohit. He has produced eight movies and three tele serials under the banner Rohit Films. He has also distributed many films under the banner Vismaya films. The first movie that he produced is the Mohanlal starrer Kireedam, which was a super hit. Another hit movie that he produced was Pranayavarnangal. He has produced several stage shows and Star nights as well, the most famous ones being Mohanlal’s Chayamukhi and Shobana’s Mayaravan, Doha Dreams, Andamans night, and Ahalia night. Janardhanan Nair is an actor, producer, and Indian Airforce personnel. He has worked predominantly in the Malayalam film industry. He was born on 5 May 1946 in Ullala, Vaikom, Kottayam, Travancore, and British India. His father is Kollarakkattu Veettil Paravoor K Gopala Pillai. His mother is Gouri Amma. He has three sisters and four brothers. He did his primary schooling at NSS High School, Vechoor. He attended his pre-university at NSS Hindu College, Changanacherry. He acted in over 700 films in his career. In 1971, he made his debut with the film Adyathe Katha. In 1972, he worked in Chembarathi, and in 1973 in Gayathri, Mazhakaru, and Chukku. In 1974, he worked on Udayam Kizhakku Thanne, Bhoogolam Thiriyunnu, and Moham.

Jayan Cherthala is a South Indian film actor and is majorly associated with the Malayalam film industry. He was born on 21 March, 1971, in Cherthala, Alappuzha, Kerala, India. His father, Jayan R. Nair, is a well-known Malayalam dramatist and writer. His name came from his father's name and the village he came from, Cherthala. He married Jaya Sree.

Prem Kumar is an Indian actor working in Kannada films. He made his debut in the year 2004 with the film ‘Praana’ but got his fame with the 2005 hit film ‘Nenapirali’. Prem even won a Filmfare Best Actor Award for this movie. He was born on 18 April 1975 in Karnataka to a weaver.

Ramesh Pisharody, a mimicry artist and anchor, was born on October 1, 1983, in Karikode, Kottayam. He is also known as Kannan. He belongs to the Malayalam TV industry. In his career, he has also appeared in a few films as the supporting actor role and also in the lead role. Along with Dharmajan Bolgatty, who supported him as the female lead most of the times, he hosted a comedy show, Bluff Masters, which helped him gain popularity. The awesome duo, Ramesh-Dharmajan, as the lead comic actors, created a great impact on the audience, and the show, Bluff Masters, achieved great success. He is a great anchor, and nowadays, he is anchoring celebrity show like Badai Bungalow, screened on Asianet, which portrays the Malayalam version of Comedy Nights with Kapil.

Sudheer Karamana is a Malayalam films’ actor. Karamana Janardanan Nair’s first-born. He has two siblings, named Sunil and Sujay. He was born at Karamana in Thiruvananthapuram, and he studied at Kendriya Vidyalaya Pattom School.
