Malayalam Movie Review Style - Cast & Crew

Priya Kandwal is an upcoming actress who was pretty much into modeling in the earlier stages of life. She has successfully enacted her role in her very first film ‘Style’ in Malayalam directed by Binu S. Style was pictured in the screens of 2016. Style for a change was an action thriller movie. In the beginning, the film was not much supported by the audience. It was only after the release of the trailer, the movie had favorable comments and had kindled an interest in the people making its way for the red carpet. Her shots behind the lens of the cameraman in a film titled as ‘Neenade Naa’ in 2014, which had the story line based on a romantic comedy, was a hit. She currently resides in Ghaziabad, India. She was titled as Priyanka Kandwal and shows her interests in modeling and actions behind cameras.

Tovino Thomas is a well-known face in the Malayalam Film Industry. He is an eminent model and actor in Mollywood. He has a huge female fan following owing to his muscular physique and smart personality. He was voted as the most desirable man in the newspaper Kochi Times, a subset of the Times of India. He was born into a Roman Catholic family in Irinjalakuda, Kerala. His father, Ellikal Thomas, is an advocate, and he has an elder brother, Tingston, and a sister, Dhanya. Tovino studied in Irinjalakuda at the Don Bosco High School and then moved to Coimbatore to finish his college. He obtained his graduation degree in engineering, majoring in the field of electronics in Coimbatore from the Tamil Nadu College of Engineering. After finishing college, he started working as a software engineer at Cognizant Technology Solutions for a few years. Thomas is a fitness freak and has been modeling since his college days. He has also done endorsements for a few top brands of Kerala such as Silver storm Theme Park in Athirappilly, Indulekha Hair Care Oil, and a few others. He has also done a few short films among which his roles in Grisaille and Jaalakam were appreciated widely. Sajeevan Anthikad spotted him upon seeing these short movies and advertisements and cast him in his first movie Prabhuvinte Makkal in the year 2012.

Balu Varghese is an Indian Malayali film actor. He has acted in both lead and supporting roles. He was born at Eranakulam to Neena Varghese and Varghese EJ. He is the nephew to music director Alex Paul and actor Lal. He made his debut in the movie, Chanthupottu as a child actor in the year 2005. Later, he played the leading role in Honeybee, which was also marked as the debut directorial venture of Lal Jun. Balu’s other works since his debut appearance include Oru Second Class Yathra (2015), Namasthe Bali (2015), Money Ratnam (2014), Hi I'm Tony (2014), Happy Journey (2013) and many more. His upcoming works are Three in one, Honeybee 2, Inspector Davood Ibrahim, Third World Boys, and Aana Mayil Ottakam. 

Binu Sasidharan is an Indian Filmmaker. He was born on the 17th of November , 1976. He is mainly known for his splendid work in the Malayalam Film Industry. He is a key personality in the Indian Animation Industry. With not many people dedicating their efforts to this field , he has inspired a breeze of change and many young artists have followed. He was born in Kerala’s small district Ernakulam District, more precisely in Desam, Aluva . He completed his schooling and graduation in the same state. He got his post graduation degree from Sree Sankara College, Kalady , 1999 in the major subject of commerce. After completing his studies in 1999, Binu started working as a freelance animator and designer.

Born on the 22nd of September, 1987, Unni Mukundan is the son of M Mukundan Nair and Roji Mukundan. He was born in Villadom in Trichur, but grew up in Ahmedabad. Unni made his foray into the film industry after the completion of his Plus Two in commerce, and is currently pursuing his B.A. in English from the Prajyothi Nietan College, Thrissur. Unni is a firm believer in having a good education, and is usually found to be busy with his classes when he is not shooting for his movies, even quoting “I believe that I am in a space where I can fix my dates”, showing his confidence in his ability, and also in his belief that a good education is absolutely essential.

Known as the “Muscle Aliyan” of M-Town, Unni made his debut in the Tamil movie Seedan in 2011, which was an adaptation of the Malayalam Nandanam, as the main lead. His debut Malayalam movie was Bombay March 12 alongside the veritable Mammootty. He also played a supporting role in Thalsamayam Oru Penkutty.

His versatility saw him reprise roles in movies such as Ezham Suryan, Bangkok Summer. He also played the title role in Mallu Singh alongside Kunchacko Boban, which turned out to be a box office hit. His other movies include Theevram, I Love Me, Ithu Pathiramanal, D Company, Orissa, The Last Supper, Rajadhi Raja and Vikramadhityan.

He has gained popularity for his role in Vikramadhityan, where he plays the role of the son of a cop and is placed against Dulquer Salman who plays the role of the son of a thief. Both the boys become classmates in school and the movie then proceeds to show their journey into adulthood.

For his role in Bombay March 12, Unni won several awards including the Asianet Film Award: Best New Face of the Year 2011, the Asiavision Movie Awards: 2011 Best New Face of the Year, The Jaihind TV Best Newcomer of the Year 2011, the Amritha TV Best Debut Award  and the South Debut Actor for South Indian International Movie Awards.

Vijayaraghavan is an Indian actor from Kerala, who mainly acted in Malayalam films. He is popular for his versatility playing different character and villain roles. He is the son of great Malayalam drama writer and director N. N. Pillai, who is known to many by his role Anjooran in the Malayalam movie Godfather.

Vijayaraghavan was born in Malasia in 1951 and brought up there until he was six months old. Being from a drama family Vijayaraghavan had the acting talent inherited from his father. Vijayaraghavan debut in Malayalam movies was in 1973 through Kaapaalika, a film based on N N Pillai’s famous drama with the same name. He did a small role in this movies. A decade later he did a throughout role in movie Surumayitta Kannukal (1983). The 1987 Mamooty-Joshi movie New Delhi was the real breakthrough for Vijayaraghavan. The film was remade in different languages like Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil. It is still one among the top 20 blockbuster movies in Malayalam cinema industry.

He got the real break-through with his performance as Ramji Rao in the 1989 hit movie Ramji Rao Speaking, directed by Siddique-Lal. In the mid-1990s, Vijayaraghavan did the lead role in many low-budget offbeat Malayalam films. His best performance as an actor was seen in director Jayaraj’s movie Desadanam in 1997. He also played important action characters along with Suresh Gopi and Mamooty in movies like Commissioner, Ekalavyan, Mafia and The King. 

Since the start of this millennium, Vijayaragahavn became a busy actor doing character and villain roles in mainstream Superstar movies like Raavanaprabhu (2001), CID Moosa (2003), Bharathchandran I.P.S (2005), Lion (2006), Chotta Mumbai (2007), Mayavi (2007). He also played the lead role in popular Malayalam television serial entitled Kavyanjali telecasted on Surya TV in 2004. Vijayaraghavan is fond of character roles and thrilling police roles. In his own words Cheradi Zakaria, the role of a physically challenged man that he played in Ranji banker's film Sipayi Lahala, is his favourite character role. His favorite villain character is the police role in the film Stop Violence”. He won the best villain award from Mazhavil Manorama for the film Tensile Vyapari”. He could also play comedy roles at ease, and his comedy roles, like the one in Meleparambil a is still remembered. He has been the part of Malayalam film industry for the last 33 years, and he is known to many by the name “in in”. Apart from all these he is very interested in agriculture and owns an agriculture land in Tamil Nadu.

Vijayaraghavan’s wife is  Suma and they have two sons, Jinadevan and Devadevan. Jinadevan is  business man and is married to Rakhi. The couple has a son named Adrath. Devadevan follows his father and grandfather to be in  in film and drama industry as actor and director.
