Malayalam film industry often comes up with genuine movies that send across a strong message. Valiya Chirakulla Pakshikal is one such movie.

Plot

The movie has inspiration from real-life happenings in a village in Kasargod, situated in Kerala. Pesticide Endosulfan that is used in cashew plantations in the rural area caused health concerns when it is misused. Even though it was banned, the villagers are suffering. This issue is highlighted in the movie. 

Star Performance

Boban Kunchacko is spontaneous in his acting and he done an outstanding job.Nedumudi Venu, Prakash Bare, Krishnan Balakrishnan, and Anumol have supported well.

Analysis 

We get to know the happenings in the movie through the eyes of Kunchacko. Kunchacko essays the role of a photographer, and he brings to light the alarming situation. The negligence of the government and some affluent people is shown beautifully in this movie. Many real life sufferers are seen in this flick. When you watch the movie you will feel that nobody is actually acting; they are just living the roles. 
This movie is taken with a good intention and Dr. Biju (national award winner); the director should be applauded for that. In fact, this movie has been shown at various film festivals. There is no voice-over in this movie that is present in a documentary. Also, the background score is not used too much in this movie. 
The movie has many emotional moments, and it will make you cry.

1.    The movie doesn’t delve on melodramatic presentation. 
2.    The movie is interspersed with facts and fiction beautifully. 
3.    Most of the scenes in the movie are realistic. 
4.    M J Radhakrishnan’s cinematography is outstanding. 
5.    Dr. Biju’s script is very real. 
6.    Music of Santhosh Chandran complements with the intensity of the movie. 

What’s not there?

The movie is very intense, but that can be forgiven, thanks to the message that it drives home. 

Verdict

The director should be applauded for taking a bold and current issue. Don’t miss this movie.
