Malayalam Movie Review Varathan - Cast & Crew

This bubbly girl with expressive eyes was an anchor before taking up the role of an actress in Malayalam cinema. The 2006 flick Palunku was her first film and she was a child then (10 years). She enacted the role of Mammooty’s daughter in the film and her performance was very much lauded. She tried her luck with some other flicks in Malayalam. Before taking up leading roles, this cute girl did some supporting portrayals. In 2013 she debuted as a lead heroine with the movie Maad Dad which didn’t create ripples in the box office. She had also acted in few Tamil films. Neram, Ohm Shanthi Oshaana, Raja Rani and Bangalore Days are some of her hit films. 

Born on 20th December 1994, Nazriya was inclined in taking up something related to business. Later she quit college and it is believed that she was busy shooting. Before shifting to Thiruvananthapuram she was living in UAE. 

Nazriya’s album Yuvh became very popular and it was liked by the youth. The 2013 flick Neram was a bilingual film, both Malayalam and Tamil and it was a big success. Later she did few Tamil flicks including Raja Rani, Thirumanam Enum Nikkah and Naiyaandi. 

Nazriya has donned the role of an anchor for some Malayalam projects. Munch Star Singer Junior of Asianet gave her recognition as an anchor. This is a talent hunt program. Being a kids program, it was well received by the audience. She worked as a VJ for a decade for several television channels. 

Nazriya has that innate acting skills in her and she received several awards. Romance blossomed between Nazriya and co-star Fahadh Faasil on the sets of the Malayalam flick Bangalore Days. They got married on 21st August 2014. Nazriya is indeed an actress to reckon with in Malayalam and Tamil film industry.

Aishwarya Lekshmi is an Indian actress who has worked in Malayalam, Telugu and Tamil movies. She has acted in many movies of these film industries. She is best known for her movies like ‘Rasukutty’, ‘Butterflies’, ‘Gardish’, ‘Aambala’ and many more. She has been a part of many Malyalam television series. He was the college union chairman for two consecutive years at Maharaja College, Ernakulam and also won the first prize in the Mahatma Gandhi University Youth Festival as a hat-trick record for Photography.

Littil Swayamp Paul is an Indian film cinematographer, actor, director, and editor who has worked predominantly in the Malayalam film industry. He was born in 1990 in Sharjah (UAE) and raised in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. His mother died when he was just six years old. He and his two elder siblings were raised by his father. He studied at Symbiosis Institute of Design but later dropped out of the course because the pace of learning and speed of work were much slower there compared to working in the industry. He also studied audio engineering at Musicians Institute, where he learned the intricacies of sound, which helped him to be a better storyteller. Littil also knows the basics of guitar, learned dance, and is always keen to learn new things. He believes in challenging oneself.

Vishnu Thandaserry is a digital photographer based in the Mollywood Film Industry. He has shot the location stills of more than 11 movies in the last few years. Vishnu works as the lens man for Anil Radhakrishnan Menon and Ayal Njanalla’s Lord Livingston 7000 Kandi. The photographer was born on November 19, 1991, in the Indian state of Kerala. He started working for the film industry from the year 2011. Photography was Thandaserry’s passion since his school days. He chose to pursue a multimedia diploma course, instead of a degree course, because of the same reason. He debuted in the Mollywood as an independent photographer via a Fahadh Faasil movie ‘Natholi Oru Cheriya Meenalla.’

Sushin Shyam is a playback singer. He is related to the Malayalam Music Industry. He has even worked in movies. People loved his performance in the flick Thattathin Marayath. Thattathin Marayath was a musical. The genre of the film was romance. Sushin's appearance in the movie made him famous. Kisa Paathiyil, a song sung by him, got popular. The song Kisa Paathiyil, is included in movie Kismath. The song dealt with the topic of love and romance.

Mashar Hamsa is a famous costume designer, artist and, cinema affectionate in the south Indian film industry, especially in the Malayalam Industry. It is known as Mollywood. He debuted in the Malayalam industry through the veteran director Sameer Tahir's movie ‘Neelakasham Pachakadal ChuvannaBhoomi.’ He belongs to Thanoor, Mallapuram district (Formed on 16 June 1969) that situated in the state of Kerala.

Vivek Harshan, born on 28 May, 1981 in Kochi , India, is an Indian film editor with a national award to his name for editing film 'Jigarthanda' in 2014. Harshan developed his interest for movies and editing in his college days where he met equally movie enthusiast friends, and it is then that he started taking things seriously. He learned to edit professionally through a course in Chennai and later assisted renowned editor exact==Anthony to whom he also dedicated his national award. Born in 1982, Fahadh Faasil is known for his works in Malayalam cinema. He is the son of renowned Malayalam director Fazil. He debuted in the Malayalam film industry during the year 2002 in his father’s film Kaiyethum Doorath. Unfortunately, his status as star kid didn’t help him and the film bombed at the box office. He was 18-year old then and the audience didn’t accept the image of a chocolate boy with a mustache.

Fahadh was not seen in films for around 7 years. But behold.. he indeed returned only to be accepted by the audience. He had a bald head, but that only favored him, since it provided a professional look. He did a film Kerala Café in the year 2009, in which his role was applauded. Films including 22 Female Kottayam, Chappa Kurishu, Diamond Necklace, North 24 Kaatham etc. gave him the much-needed stardom. Currently, Fahadh is working on many films.

Fahadh Faasil is one of the new breed of actors, who bring the label “New Generation Movies” to the limelight. He was tagged for acting in many kissing scenes, but that didn’t prove to be an obstacle in his career. Within a short span of 3 years Fahad has given many hits and this has made him a star to reckon with in Mollywood. In fact, he is considered to be the Youth Icon of Malayalam film industry.

Fahadh had won the Filmfare award for Best Actor for the film 22 Female Kottayam. He was also recognized by Asiavision Movie Awards, Vanitiha Film Award, Kerala State Award and Asianet Film Award. During the year 2014, when he had already tasted success in Malayalam film industry, he entered into wedlock with actress Nazriya Nazim.
