Karthik Sivakumar, or popularly known as Karthi, is a prominent film actor, who predominantly works in the Tamil film industry. He was born on May 25, 1977, in Madras, Tamil Nadu, India, to Tamil actor, Sivakumar and Lakshmi. He studied at Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan, and later attended St. Bede’s Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School in Chennai. He obtained a degree in Mechanical Engineering at the Crescent Engineering College in Chennai. Post graduation, he started working as an Engineering Consultant in the city and pursued higher education abroad. S R Prakash Babu started his career as a producer with Studio Green, which also had Gnanavel Raja and “S R Prabhu.” He produced various films, among which Singam tasted a great success.  Prakash Babu is the nephew of veteran Tamil actor “Sivakumar.” Suriya Sivakumar and Karthik Sivakumar are his cousins. Most of his films are with Suriya and Karthi. In 2010, S R Prakash Babu teamed up with his brother S R Prabhu to lay down the foundation of Dream Warrior Pictures, a production company based in Chennai. This company deals with film production as well as film distribution.
