Tamil Movie Review Psycho - Cast & Crew

As her title may be suggesting, Aditi the talented and versatile actress origins from Hyderabad. But her introduction should not end up just there. On the side of performing arts, she is a trained classical dancer, specializing in Bharata natyam, while in respect of family lineage she comes from the confluence of two distinct blue blooded families of the South - that of Akbar Hydari former Prime Minister of Hyderabad on one hand and from the Wanaparthy royal family on the other. Her family also had a distinctly accomplished educational background and she herself also did complete her graduation before entry into films.

Born on April 8, 1988 Nithya Menen is indeed a star to reckon with. She has worked in South Indian films, including Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. Hailing from Calicut, she was brought up in Bangalore. Before joining films, she passed Journalism from Manipal Institute of Communication. Though, she wanted to do a course in Cinematography things didn’t fructify. After working as a child artiste in the film Hanuman, she did a film with Mohanlal during the year 2008. This got her many accolades and she was nominated in the category of Best Supporting actress.

During one of her entrance exams Nithya met director Nandini, who was instrumental in making Nithya an actress. Her debut film as a grown up artist is ‘Ala Modalaindi’ in Telugu, which was directed by Nandini Reddy. Nithya dubbed for herself in one of her Telugu films. Nithya Menen is known for films, including Urumi, 180 etc. Now, she has several films in her kitty. A commendable fact is that Nithya Menen is also a singer. She has worked as a playback singer in many films and has around 4 awards to her credit as a playback singer). Nithya is considered to be an intellectual artiste and she is not seen as a glamour doll. 

Currently Nithya has worked in around 35 films, concentrating on the four main regional languages. She is considered as one of the good actresses in the south. Maniratnam’s OK Kanmani showcased her prowess as an actress and in Kanchana 2 she did justice to her role. In an interview, she had stated that, she believes in her intuition while selecting a film. Though her dream was not becoming an actress, she has now come into terms with it. She has around 35 films to her credit and she doesn’t want to hasten things, but wants to earn money at her comfort. Mysskin was born on 20 September 1971. His language of education was in Tamil. His insatiable predilection for books and novels inspired him to change his name to Mysskin. He was motivated to keep this name from a novel by Dostoevsky called The Idiot. Mysskin’s accidental acting career commenced when he met a director named Kathir in the book store that he worked in. he agreed to befriend him and stayed with him for eight months but didn’t work in any films. He is a Tamil director, an actor, a singer, producer and a screenwriter. Then he began his acting career as a result of accepting a movie offer by Vincent Selva and worked in two subsequent movies called Youth and Jithan.

Ilaiyaraaja is a renowned film composer, known around the world for his finest works. With more than 5000 songs, he is known to be one of the best composers India has yet to produce. Ilaiyaraaja is also widely acknowledged as a songwriter, conductor, singer, and instrumentalist. Ilaiyaraaja’s works stand out particularly due to his talent for fusing traditional Indian instrumentation with symphonic orchestration.

Udhayanidhi Stalin is considered to be a mammoth figure in the Tamil film and television industry and he is considered to be one of the powerhouse controller in the Tamil Entertainment Industry. Udyanithu Stalin has a rich family lineage along with his envious filmography and television stints. His father is the famous M.K.Stalin and he is also the grandson of Tamilnadu’s ex-chief minister Shri Karunanidhi. He was born on November 27, 1977. He is currently active in the industry as an actor, producer and distributor. Presently, he owns his own company with the name of Red Giant Movies Banner. Some of his hit and award winning movies as an actor includes Oru Kal Oru Kannadi, Aadhavan, etc. As a producer and distributor some of his successful movie ventures in Tamil includes- Kuruvu, Nellparavai, Idhayam Murali, etc. Udyanithi Stalin is married to Kiruthiga Udayanidhi who is the owner and head of a lifestyle magazine Inbox 1305. He has won the Film fare South award for many times for his acting performances and also as a producer. Udyanithi Stalin is currently shooting for a comedy film which he is also the co-producer of the film. Udyanithi’s stint with the Tamil television has been brief but a memorable one. He has been the part of the celebrity kitchen show, has appeared as a guest judge in few of the reality show aired on the Tamil television shows. But, what caused a stir is his appearance in the popular celebrity interactive chat show Koffee with DD made in line with the national popular chat show Koffee with Karan. In one of the episode Stalin adorned the celebrity guest chair.

P C Sreeram is a well-renowned Cinematographer in the Indian Film Industry. He was born on 26 January 1956 in the then Madras, India. He is the third child of the family as he had two elder sisters. He has interest towards film industry since his childhood. He studied at the Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School at Mylapore in Chennai.

Arun Mozhi Manickam is a Tamil producer known primarily for movies like Psycho and Watchman. Manickam is from Chennai, Tamil Nadu, and has worked in Kollywood and Tollywood. In April 2019, a crime thriller Tamil film Watchman was released. Manickam produced the flick under the banner of Double Meaning Productions. The movie features G. V. Prakash Kumar in the lead role, while Samyuktha Hegde plays the female protagonist. Other actors like Raj Arun, Suman, and Yogi Babu appeared in the flick. Written and directed by A. L. Vijay, the storyline centers around a man who needs money to pay off his loan. To get rid of the debt, he tries to steal money. In the process, he is faced with the task of salvaging a situation.

Tanveer Mir is an Indian filmmaker born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Tanveer Mir has so far worked in the Tamil film business (Tollywood), and Tamil-language movies have used his artwork. He resides in Maharashtra's Mumbai. At Boys Degree College, he pursued a Bsc in Mass Communication and Multimedia Production (MCMP). At the L. V. Prasad Film and TV Academy, he also completed a PGD in cinematography. Pad Man (2018), I (2015), and Psycho are among Tanveer Mir's best-known works (2020). Eat, Pray, Love, India Schedule, Guzaarish (Hindi), Yuthamsai (Tamil), Shudra (Hindi), Ishq (Telugu), Shanker's "I" (Tamil), Amitabh, and Ok Kanmani are some of the films he has been in.

Kabilan was born on 16th May 1977 in Pondicherry, India. He is an Indian lyricist in film and television industry, actor, and poet. Kabilan currently resides in Chennai, Tamilnadu, India. He acted in the movie Dasavathaaram and enacted as Assistant to Vincent Poovaragavan in the year 2008. He wrote scripts for different television shows like starting in the year 2003 in Sorgam. In the year 2004, he did for Kanavarukkaga.

Kailash Kher was born on 7 July, 1973 in New Delhi. He is an Indian pop Singer, Music Director and his music style is influenced by, Indian Sufi and folk music. His family belongs to Kashmiri roots. His father named Pandir Mehar Singh Kher was a famous Folk Musician and Singer. Kailash was very interested in singing and music from his childhood. He left his home at the age of 14, for learning music and took proper lessons from his guru.

After many attempts, he didn’t get the right teacher. He began to learn music, by listening to the classical music of Indian singers like Pandit Bhimsen Joshi, Pandit Kumar Gaurav, Pandit Gokulotsav Maharajand and also Lata Mangeshkar. After that, he started to teach music for his expenses in Delhi. Because of some problems in the family, he left singing and completed his graduation from Delhi University. When he was staying in Delhi, he met Paresh Kamath and Naresh Kamath in a concert. They together, started his band named “Kailasa”. Thus, he started his journey in his music career. 

He has sung more than 5000 songs in 20 different languages of India. He got the opportunity to sing in the movie “Andaaz” (Rabbaa Ishq Na hove). After this, his song “Allah ke Bande” from movie “Waisa Bhi Hota Hai 2” became very popular, and made him a popular singer in Bollywood. The song "Teri Deewani" from the album of the same name by his band Kailasa and the song "Ya Rabba" from the movie Salaam-e-Ishq had record sales. His band albums are Kailasa(2006), Jhooma Re (2007), Chaandan Mein (2009), Rangeele (2012),Naina Chaar (2013) etc. 

He won Filmfare award as Best Male Playback singer for the film Fanna (2007) and also won the Filmfare award as Best Male Playback Singer-Telugu for the film Mirchi.

Indian-American playback singer and music producer Sid Sriram was born 19 May 1990 in Chennai. He spent his childhood in Fremont, California. Sid graduated from Mission San Jose High School. After that, he admitted in the Berklee College of Music and completed his graduation in Music Production and Engineering. He is famous for his musical collaboration with A. R. Rehman and Bharata Natyam dancer, Pallavi Sriram (sister).

Aadukalam Naren was born in Chennai the heartland of Tamil cinema, in a family which took keen interest in movies. He was interested in acting and was also encouraged by his family members, and so he decided to go through formal training before he could enter the industry.

Singampuli is a well known actor in Kollywood industry for his performance. He was born in Theni and he completed his graduation in Engineering from Bangalore and came to Chennai to look a career in Cine field. 

He made his entry into the Kollywood industry as an assistant director for director Sundar. C. Later he got a chance to direct a film ‘Red’, with actor Ajith in the lead. Next, he made his acting debut through the film Naan Kadavul and was seen in the role of a beggar named Kuyyan which was directed by Bala. In this film he even got the chance as a co-director. His next movie was Mayandi Kudumbathar, which was a big break for him. He felt happy for doing the character Mayandi Virumandi in the movie Mayandi Kudumbathar by seeing the audience responses. 

Singampuli has even written dialogues for the movies Kannan Varuvan, Perazhagan and Renigunta. He is the director, who must be applauded for changing actor Ajith into an action hero with the movie ‘Red’. From the movie ‘Mayavi’ (which had Surya and Jyothika in the lead), he proved as a good script writer. His career started to shine more from the year 2012 as he started to do comedy roles and he was seen noted in all the movies he acted. He has a different body language to attract the audiences by doing comic roles. As of now he is concentrating more on acting field and he has no plans for directing a film.

Though Singampuli started his film career as an assistant director, he is mainly known for his stint with acting. Singampuli was brought up and born in Theni district, Periyakulam and then after doing B.Tech in Bangalore college, he went to Chennai seeking for an opportunity as a career option in films. 

When Singampuli was working as an assistant director for Sundar C, he narrated the story of Unnaithedi.
