Plot

The film is a timeline drama that happened in 1984. The plot has nothing special but the age old Tamil film story. The husband always doubts his wife. What happens in their family life, when they don’t have a proper understanding? This is the simple plot of Thappattam.

Star Performance

Sudhakar, the hero, has played his role properly. Although he had slipped in a few places, his performance is okayish. He had excelled in minute expressions. Dona had a lot of space to emote. She has done justice to her role. Her performance is similar to that of “ Priyamani Priyamani is a talented actress of the Southern fi >> Read More... ” in Paruthi Veeran. The director Mujibur played the maternal uncle to the hero and he had also done his part quite well.

Analysis

Although the director has chosen the old script, he has the ability to get the work from them. Mujibur Rahman has excelled in filming the climax. The screenplay is perfect too.
