She paired with noted Kannada actor Ramesh Aravind in more than eight films, including Shrigandha, Aragini, Anuraga Sangama and Panchama Veda. Sudha Rani overshadowed other leading actresses in the Kannada film industry in 1990s.
Sudha Rani got married to Sanjay, an anesthesia specialist, in the year 1999 and settled in United States. She got divorced in 2000 and later settled in India. Later she married her relative, Goverdhan and has a daughter, Nidhi.
