Plot

Gandhi stays with his father in a village. He has a sister, who got married to a wicked person. Gandhi’s father is ill and hence he couldn’t move out for a job, leaving him. Gandhi’s brother-in-law lends him some money. If he didn’t repay it on time, his brother-in-law warns Gandhi that he will send back his sister. So, Gandhi decides to go to London and earn money to settle all his problems. While on his way to take passport, Gandhi meets a broker, who suggests Gandhi fill in the application form as if he is married. Only then, the embassy officials might sanction passport to him, as he will return soon. So, Gandhi fills Suryagandham against the spouse name. However, Gandhi’s visa gets rejected. Later, Gandhi finds a job as an assistant in a theater business company. Gandhi’s boss is satisfied much with the sincerity and dedication of Gandhi. He decides him to send to London for a performance. Now, Gandhi stuck in trouble, as his boss knows that he is unmarried but his passport shows that he is married. He meets Suryagantham, a TV journalist. In order to get the spouse name deleted, Gandhi acts as a mute person to earn her sympathy. She accepts to do this for him. What happens next? Did Surya find out that Gandhi is not a mute person? Watch the film in theaters!

Star Performance

Rakshit has pulled off his role well. Swathi is an excellent performer and as usual, she has done her job quite naturally. Dhanraj, Ali, Sathya and all the other stars have done their roles perfectly, as assigned to them.

Analysis

The director has brought a good story to Telugu. Although it is a remake, Chinni has made it suit the Telugu sensibilities. Chinni’s screenplay and the execution are excellent. The casting team should be appreciated for the right selection of the stars to suit the script.

Verdict

London Babulu is a neatly scripted family entertainer. The film shows the present condition of the middle-class families and how they fight to come up in life. London Babulu is worth for the money spent.
